Leonor “Leo” Margets: 2009 WSOP Last Woman Standing

Acclaimed and praised straight out of Barcelona Leonor “Leo” Margets began her poker career when her boyfriend introduce her to the game and then started to develop her poker skills in local clubs. The first time she played in a live event held in her hometown of Barcelona she won the The University Championships.

With her victory, 888.com a well known poker online room on the web immediately approached Leo Margets to sign-in as a member of their poker pro team giving her the opportunity to play international poker tournaments.

Highlight of Leo Margets career in poker was in 2009 WSOP Main Event where she became the last woman standing. Playing poker for 13 years this was her first major tournament and biggest win to date where in she finished in 27th place earning her $352,832. She also won third place in the $2K No Limit Hold’em Six-Max event at the 2010 Aussie Millions and made the final table of Full Tilt Poker Series Spain 2009 in Malaga.

With her success on poker tournaments she earned her spot to join the elite rank of well known female poker players Tiffany Michelle, Susie Isaacs, Barbara Enright, Marsha Waggoner,Annie Duke.
